This is a picture of the Vatican museum taken when we were on top of St. Peter's Basilica. You cannot image the size of the museum. If you go fast and only look side to side, and up and down, you may make it through in two hours. The Sistine Chapel is at the very end...of course! The tour takes you through rooms that Pope's used as private rooms, like librarys, sitting rooms, different meeting rooms, rooms dedicated to Mary, hallways with nothing but tapistries, hallways with huge maps, hallways with the robes of the Pope's, and much more. We didn't have the tripod so the pictures are not as good as I would like, but you can get the idea. When I go back, I will post the really good stuff! In the lower right had corner, just out of the picture, is the Sistine Chapel.
