And then they were gone...

The last day with the kids was spent walking around Rome one last time. We went into Rome and had a late lunch, strolled the streets, found a few more churches to explore, listened to street musicians, and made every moment count. We found a roof top resturant to sit at and watched the sunset behind St. Peter's Basilica. We used that setting to give Jeff his birthday present, because he was leaving the day before his 22nd birthday. I don't think any of us will forget that night in Rome with the Colosseum off our left shoulders, and St. Peter's Basilica off our right shoulders, and the five of us toasting our great adventures over a glass of sparkling prosecco.
